I recently helped in the construction of a 26' day sailer on which the deck was set onto the hull flange on top os a couple of layers of resin saturated mat and then the deck was bolted down on 6" centers with 1/4" bolts. Last year we repaired another 26' weekender. After the toe rail was off new bolts were put in and the hull, deck joint was glassed over with a layer of 2608 in epoxy. Heck, the mahogany cap rail on the 10' dinghy I just built is epoxied to the hull and then through bolted on 6" centers. I did use only #10 machine screws into blind nuts, but I think they will hold
