They would have been better off putting a bulb

() As you mentioned, the fat wings on the Hunter type production boats don't help to improve lift any more than a bulb. A bulb would be much better in a grounding since you can still heel to reduce draft. I can only guess they made them a "wing" shape instead of a bulb for fashion rather than function.

- draft is certainly an issue for us
- I like'em for shallower draft boats. But wasn't end plate effect a part of those?
