I have decided to deal with the stinky old hoses. I have pulled everything out and bought all new Shields 105 1.5" hose to install anew. I am learning that this hose doesn't work well with the barbed fittings that were in place; it prefers the smooth male fittings. I think I have everything I need EXCEPT a vented loop.
Can anyone recommend a source for a vented loop that will work with this hose? I took out what appears to be a high quality bronze loop, but I don't see a way to fit it to the hose. Is there a trick I am missing?
