Sailors!? I think coastal Maine winds are one of it's biggest assets, for sailors.

But I add that it's the combination of geography and winds that make this area the best all around sailing I've found. But I'm more of a light air fan than many, and obviously biased toward this region of the coast.

And lobster buoys have just as many opinions as wind preference. While they haven't had much of an effect on my saiiing in over 20 years, they have ruined a few people that will never pass Cape Ann again!

Boat under bodies are a primary reason but there must be more to it than that. So many people sail season after season along coastal Maine with much 'stickier' boats than I'm used to, and they don't seem too daunted by the buoys.

At any rate, they(the buoys), aren't going away anytime soon.
