I think a Teardrop trailer is in our future. This one, The Vistabule has a 48" square sunroof to watch the stars through and includes everything from an innerspring matteress to a flat screen and a shower.
We figure a combination of camping and hotels should work out fine. Ours will have a teak interior with stainless accessories, a full galley, toilet & shower and will tow behind our Mini Cooper.
They don't even call it a teardrop trailer but an outdoor lounge.
