I've asked this same question in several places, and have gotten lots to think about

Seems my best bet is going to be to use the rubberized flushing bag I forgot about, and keep the lower unit in fresh water when not in use.

Of course, if I was able to get the boat out and use it day after day, like when I was cruising, it wouldn't be a problem Maybe this spring that'll happen
