the worst part of this worst project ever was definitely not the VC Tar. That was more like the step that made all the previous steps start to be worth the effort. Grinding off all those years of bright blue bottom paint that was more like carpenter's chalk was really bad, it too weeks. Then there was the gel coat and finally the rust. I went from being covered with blue dust to white dust to black dust. Everything had to be wiped down with solvent multiple times, then the primer brushed on.
The VC Tar wasn't really that bad, it was just black yick that had to be mixed up and applied.
