If you want a really good reading build a jig
In Response To: I've sort of tried that ()
for the probes out of a small piece of Plexiglas that you could put on top of a glass. That way you have a constant probe depth and clearance. One that you could pull the probes out of and store it for next time with your VOM. I would try 1/10 of an inch apart.
