It drove me nuts! Too many settings and too often I struggled to find my way to whatever I wanted to do. I do agree with you on the subject of mobile sites though. I too hate mobile sites!
Ever play with a Windows phone? Too late to the party to be effective but an interesting operating system...
In the end, I came back to IOS and I am happy I did.
