And that I am cheap. On the other hand, for her, the size isn't an issue(not a pocket person) as it's carried in something. Our daughter too has a 6 with no size issues, both will go to the bigger ones in time(I haven't seen a 6+). Funny, Mary Ann lives on the ipad2 for movies, music, news, mail, at home. Beyond navigation, the iPad hasn't really taken with me.
I have the Navionics free app on the 5c. I use that quite a bit especially in the dinghy sailing(I row at 3 knots when things are good, something I never knew!). I find cross referencing the Navi. red pointer line helps in piloting under sail, for making tacks. I don't need to set a point like on the iPad with Garmin or CP; hands free is good for sailing.
I think I will upload the Navionics on her 6 and see how that works(another backup).
The growing phone screen size is curious. I suppose that trend is in tune with the fact that more and more people(regardless of our own habits) are doing more tasks, on phones as opposed to laptops and desktops, even tablets. We're planning a new library in town. Questioning the worth of 'computer stations'. Need more, or less as tablets are handed out or people use their own device? Fiber optics speed in town may change things too.
