is driven by people wanting to do more on the phones. Portability is the trade-off, people have to make a choice where to draw the line between bulk/weight and portability. As you point out, females are more likely to carry a bag and that's a factor. The 6 Plus is too big for (most) pants or shirt pockets, and it's bulkier in a holster. In deciding to stay with the 6 (not the 6 Plus) I decided for portability. If I really need more screen I can pick up a tablet or laptop that's carried in a case or sitting on a table/desk nearby.

Just as in boat design, you can't have it all. Compromises always come into the equation.
