These old woodies - especially the ones that have dried out all winter in the heated shop, taking some swellin' up.
Here she was in the rain last night, after a first dip-and pull. Concordia's are deep draft boats for full keelers. There's a lot of boat below the waterline. You can put your finger through the spaces between the dried out rudder planks. Not unusual.
Tonight she floats.

I know the guy that built the new cabin. He's an artist(professionally) as well as a boatbuilder. It'a beautifully done.
The cockpit is enormous in length and looks original. The binnacle stand is quite an old piece of woodwork. You can see the Concordia builders plate from 1939.

There's more work to do before it sails. That will be fun to watch in the coming weeks. She's a very pretty 76 year old boat.
