Standard galvanized hook with 1/2" 3 strand nylon...

I put the hook on and let it out until it is just above the water. After securing the snubber to a cleat I let another foot or so of chain out. In this configuration I have about 8' of nylon snubber. I have 150' of chain backed by 200' of 1/2" nylon.

- Rolling hitch with 25' 5/8 nylon, we carry 250' 5/16 chain
