Removing properly installed bungs is easy as long as they haven't been glued in with epoxy or such

Plugs should be installed with varnish. Then a dry wall screw driven dead center will usually just jack the plug right out. Some times it will split, but the two halves are still easy to remove

- I like the matching corian fiddles glued on idea. Or, brass and/or bronze screw heads look.....
