Hinckley launched hull #2 of their new Bermuda 50 back in June. This last week they launched hull #1. I was out sailing yesterday when the new B50 motored past me.
After my sail I noticed the boat on a mooring and cruised by to get some closer pictures.
Here she is from about 30 feet away. There is not a sliver of varnished teak on this boat. If it wasn't for the talaria on the cove stripe you would never guess this was a Hinckley.
Here she is from astern. The hull is more or less wedge shaped and very wide astern. You can see the twin wheels, the park avenue boom and the teak decks which extend to the cabin top.
Finally another picture from a bit farther away. Note the absolutely straight sheer line. You can't see it in this picture, but there is a retractable sprit. I don't think they have sailed her yet (note the coiled jib sheets hanging from the furled jib).
This boat differs from the first boat launched in that that one had a fixed sprit (it is retractable on the centerline just below the deck on this one) and the first boat was set up with a hanked on jib while this one has a roller furler. Other than that they look pretty much the same. I imagkine there are quite a few differences below decks though.
