Watching a fast ferry return to the dock

My sister-in-law was departing on a huge fast-ferry from a small town north of Bodo, Norway. We waved bye and watched as the big cat left the dock and gained speed as it headed out the channel towards its next port. Suddenly it slowed, turned around and made its way back to the dock. Someone had left their backpack on the pier, and the captain was returning to pick it up. It was a remarkable example of a country that is still able to incorporate a sense of humanity in their culture.
