That is a nasty area in there south of the Sister islands...

The current runs really hard in there and all the buoys are toggled. Going in the back door to Burnt Coat requires running across the toggles. I have never snagged anything in there, but it can be stressful. I was through there Tuesday afternoon on the way to Burnt Coat. There was a significant swell coming in from the south coupled with the ebb tide and wind against tide made it pretty choppy. Lots of the buoys were pretty much invisible until you were right on them. I motored across the channel though because Linda wasn't happy with boat motion while sailing. No problems, but you can't look away from the water for a second.
