We have them as well, but they are more of a PITA at out club. I saw one this year, slinky little beggars.........they totally trash the place once we go into winter mode. The instructions to members for preparing for winter is to remove everything from your slip. Dock lines, power cords, etc and so forth. Naturally there are lazy members that haul their boat and walk away from everything until spring. The minks were busy last year chewing through shore power cords and leaving the remains of dock dinners everywhere. It was an expensive lesson for some members and took a crew with pressure washers to clean up the mess last spring.
I wish I had a remarkable story to share but due to circumstances, it was a pretty unremarkable summer for us.
