Summer is almost over...

But Fall still is ahead. Fall brings nor'easters which can be big trouble, but it also brings more frequent northwest winds and some of the year's best sailing. In September and early October the water's still warm, the temperatures more moderate, and on the east coast the NW winds offer brisk sailing in flat seas. I usually wait until first week of November to haul out but this year I'll do it a few weeks early in mid October.
