Just pulled my mast for the first time... to haul the boat to Washington state. It's in Anacortes right now.
The rigger that decommissioned the boat pointed to the maker's mark on the standing rigging... "they've been out of business for over 10 years..."
I am having all the standing rigging replaced, as well as pulling chain plates. The rig came apart fairly well... considering I soaked the turnbuckles for a few days in Aerokroil. The baseplate at the bottom of the mast was in good shape... full of dust. Rigger pointed to the quarter in the base and said "for the ferryman..."
Figured as long as the rig was down, I'd have a few things done.
