I think the most prolific group of future globe girdlers, are the newbs.

I can't recall how many people we met just going down the ICW to the Bahamas years ago, had long range plans of sailing around the world. Ha! I can't recall a one that even crossed an ocean much less sailed around the world. It's just easy to dream that dream before you know much about what it entails.
