When we sold out Catalina 27 several years ago the owner got two 3-ring binders of documentation detailing everything that was done to the boat. Not exactly electronic like you described but I thought it was a nice package.

Likewise the new owners of the Islander and the Island Packet received 3-ring binders of manuals and documentation that I did not receive when I purchased the boats. This new Hunter came with a sizeable owner's manual. Once you get past the safety disclaimers it also has useful information including extensive photos, diagrams and schematics. I can tell you that even with a Hunter shoulder bag full of information, it is not complete as I would like. I have started to add to that as well.
