I found that I would write something down and then not have the book with me when I went to work on the item or when I was at the store trying to buy something. I have OneNote on my phone and tablet as well as my computers at home and work. I can jot something down and it syncs together to show up on all devices. A great tool for keeping track of maintenance. I have pages for engine, fuel tank, winches, hatches, safety equipment, you can even attach pictures and web links. And it's free!
