The main sheet is, as you suspected, coiled and a mess on the deck or laying on the cockpit cushions. I have it coiled and held to the pedestal with Velcro strapping when at the dock. The factory traveler spans the cockpit about 8 inches off the deck and IMHO would be a major tripping hazard. I will tell you though, you better have your wits about you when moving about the cockpit because there is a space where the traveler would have been attached. It is the width of the seat, about 4" across and 6" deep. It is a place waiting to break someone's ankle that I need to come up with a filler for.

I also was incorrect, the boat in the photo is not exactly like ours. We also have the "sheeting package" which this one does not. That adds two larger self tailing winches to the coamings on either side of the helm, jib car tracks on the deck instead of the cabin top and a pair of jam cleats of sorts adjacent to the two winches.
