So folks... do more undersea critters cover the bottom in warm or cold climates?

I am getting near splash time in the PNW, and after the boat goes in the water, I will most likely hire a diver to keep the bottom clean. Then I started to wonder, what should the interval of cleanings be... once a month, every two months or what.

When in San Diego, I had a diver clean the bottom once a month... and I am pretty sure the critter problem became worse as the temperature rose. But who knows what interesting critters live in the PNW, and I do recall that colder water can hold more dissolved O2 than warm water... so critters tend to be larger in cold water. So I am perplexed...

What sort of bottom cleaning schedule do you follow... and are you in warm or cold water?
