Thinking time vs working time.

Think some then work some works well for me. Saves a lot of ripout and redo. Definitely don't rush jobs - gives no time for thinking and planning.
Just finishing up a job converting a small closet from shelves to drawers - ripout some, then think. Ripout some more, think some more. Did as much as I could before emptying the shelves and removing them, but by then installing the drawers went pretty quickly. The stuff from the shelves was only in boxes for about 3 days until getting the drawers and their sliders in place. Job came out well, doubling the storage in the closet.
