And the Iphone photography class at Maine Media Workshops is quite popular. Many of the students(taking the Iphone class) are working pro's that are taking advantage of another tool.
The $850 print was a simple -set- shot of a dress in an old room. A method of printing that added another layer of interest, was applied by the photographer(she works in digital, film, etc).
Looking back, at first I thought the image was a painting. Printing methods can unlock hidden images. Once I realized it was a digital image, I liked it even more. I had no idea(nor interest really) what equipment took the image. I remember that image in a large gallery filled mostly with paintings, was outstanding.
I looked at it for some time, and that's when it sold to a guy next to me. The fact it was an iphone may have made an impression on the buyer but I didn't hear any mention of that as the photographer took the image down to wrap up.
