I'm a ham. for a few years cruising the east coast and Bahamas, I didn't
have the ham/SSB on board. installed for heading to the Caribe. its a great
addition. then in Great Britain and the Med, became invaluable. Like others
said, email, weather, wind gribs, various nets for other info.
Well worth it.
