Few things have given us as much use and pleasure as our Nutshell.

It was a work horse shlepping a family of four for years and years. And we always tow. When it comes to towing, there's is no better dingy(hard or soft), that I know of. Despite those pick up truck qualities, it's a good row with two(we have no desire for an outboard), and still a very decent sailer if not overloaded.

If I wasn't going to tow except in sheltered coastal water (you have your huge deck space), I'd go for the 11' Shellback that Joel White designed. A better sailer and more nimble row. But tender (in comparison to the wider bottomed Nutshell), and the pointed bow makes it less stable(and handy), to tow.

Are you thinking of buying a new Nutshell?
