Larry, if you mean you'd hook-up a hose from a pressure water system... I would NOT DO THAT. If you want to run it, run a hose into a big bucket and have the water pump draw the water in.

I wouldn't run it with a hose pressure, you might have an issue with back feeding the valves or overcoming the gasket in the water pump drive for the engine.
