As I remember form my days designing boats and dabbling in the engineering of laminates . . . the skins of cored hulls and decks are designed to take distributed pressure and resist bending. I don't recall anyone bringing into the equation the idea that 250 pounds of human weight might be concentrated over a couple of square inches of deck . . . I hope, Les, you insist the ladies remove their stilettos . . .
Maybe planked decks are the answer . . . better load distribution.
