That's annoying! I'm not that well set up for reefing the main, on the fly.
Outside of mostly rare bad calls, NOAA has been pretty reliable, here. With all these new sources, I find you have to be careful. Some claiming to be marine, are not. Their computers condense 5 to 10 to light and variable. NOAA will (intend) to describe the details in the wind, even in the lower ranges.
