So did I and indeed it fell apart!

Drive shaft just spun out of the Evinrude 3.5 two springs ago. The Yamaha 2.5 idles nicely and is quiet. Doesn't drip oily water down the transom, either.

and I just cut 8 inches off of mine on my 6'6" dink. Were simply too long. Now I have 6 footers
