At my normal cruising speed in the dinghy with two people the range on a charge is about 5 miles. If I go slower I can stretch it to 8 miles. To alleviate concerns about range I carry two batteries and I have oars. For the last couple of years, since I switched from an inflatable to a hard dinghy I find myself rowing more than using the motor. Rowing range is pretty much unlimited, particularly if I have a snickers bar in my pocket
