It looks like very hard work, to me. I can't imagine doing it year-round.

Our harbor is the workplace for many of my friends.
Half the cockpit well is full of well lashed, 5 gallon jerry cans of diesel....
I think it is the nature of sailing, as a job.

Stale fuel and big tanks
With an 80 gallon tank, some of my diesel must be older than baseball.

Topped off or empty, I've never found any water in the separator. Have you guys?

I've see cloudy gas in the filter of my dinghy.

Yes FAA prohibits ethanol in aviation fuel
Ahh.....this might be a useful resource for locating alcohol-free auto gas, aka mogas.
