I'm fairly focused on what I want this time around and unfortunately will have to drop a few $$$

Yup, I've seen several boats out there for "free" and looking at the cost of ownership, they're in the many thousands of $$$ per year. No one wants these boats nor the costs associated with them.
I'm looking for a fast, shallow draft boat that I can keep at the lake or trailer down to my mooring in Portsmouth when the mood strikes to head out to the Isles of Shoals.

I find it amazing that I can buy a pretty decent 40' mono for the same money
