I think SBO's used to have a War Room for political threads.

Woodenboat has the Bilge for politics and off topics. That's pretty busy right now but those 'guys' - by and large- don't get too out of hand.
Sailing Anarchy has political anarchy. I just checked that (I never post in Political anarchy, or even read much) and the latest thread is by a moderator that's about had his fill! 
It's titled Election Week **ckery. Clever name,...
Sailnet I see, doesn't have a political forum, or it's gone. Looks like the trend is to get away from the topic, too much hassle for the moderators. I don't blame them one bit.

- "20 something feet, cuddy, trailerable", many of those are free. But you still have to be wary.
