I'd leave my boat there, every time I go by boats are banging up against the pylons, it is very open to anything from the east, which is where the wind comes from most the time and it can howl in there, the fetch from Stocking Island is a mile or so and can be a nasty, steep, short chop ... I don't like going there for 45 minutes to get fuel if it's blowing 20, which it usually is in the winter. I also heard last spring they were having trouble, they never had diesel when I was there, we had to jerry it from the station in town, it looked run down, but who knows what we'll find this year.
If you're considering a marina and money is not a concern, I heard the Marina at Emerald Bay just up the road about an hour motor away is under new ownership and may be opening this year. This is a wonderful spot, brand new marina, all the services, lots of mega yachts in here and I've seen many transients sailboats that look like they're left for some time, so the cost can't be that bad. They have a few docks with out power and these could be had two years ago for not much dough nightly, so I bet you can strike a deal if they are re-opening. And very close to the airport. Can be a bit scary getting in or out during a blow, the entrance is open to the east and the fetch is all the way to Cat Island, so you can get these massive rollers coming into a very tight entrance. It's nasty. I've heard stories of boats getting stuck inside for a week or more.
cheers, John
