As Kate mentioned, I left my boat there several years ago, only for about 10 days...

Hi John,

I had no problems, but it was later in the spring when the winter winds had moderated. I had a slip way inside, so it was a bit more protected...

You're right, however, it's a pretty run-down place, even more so when I had a look around there last year... The condition of their restrooms and showers was absolutely appalling at the time I was there, it appears they have finally just closed them for good... I thought the price was fairly reasonable at the time, there wasn't any good mooring option for my draft in Georgetown at the time, and I was willing to pay for the added security of a marina, anyway... but I wouldn't depend on the marina's management to look after your boat, I don't think I've ever stayed in a marina where they couldn't care less, you're gonna have to trust fellow boaters to do that for you there...

Bahamas Houseboats also have some moorings in Kidd Cove, Larry could get in there with his draft no problem, but I think the St. Francis might be the preferred option if the price was comparable... I'd also investigate the boatyard south of town, I've heard good things about them, and I believe they might have some moorings for long-term storage...

best regards,

Jon
