on our trident ketch, we had a lot of leaking windows. after redoing them all and using a diffeternt GE silicone, they were fine for a while. 8 years later, 2 develop a minimal leak periodically - it is at the seam of the frame. I take a touch if life seal(on a gloved finger) and rub it into the seam - does leave a hint of residue. it works for about a year.
