My dodger, wheelcover and sailcover have lasted 15 yrs

I'm in CT, have about a 7 month season and have treated them with 303 every year since the 4th year.
My plastic zippers failed at the 6-7 year point. The new ones have lasted about 9 years.
I suspect the killer is UV; 303 is a uv blocker for plastics and sunbrella.

- I'd contact Thurston -- From your description, I don't think that the thread should fail.
