I really like the Lopolights other than being a bit pricey. The case is anodized aluminum, so pretty durable, and the electronics are potted for waterproofness, 5 yr warranty. They mounted in the standard hole spacing for my boat. The wiring goes under a removable lid, with the connection again potted (by you) with something like silicone sealant-I used Lifeseal since non-corrosive. They are also the only ones I have seen that are actually approved by the various authorities. I opted for the 2 mile version, since they were already so expensive, and those are REALLY bright.
