Only I used Innovative Lighting's lights. I sealed the tubes and mounted them on the underside of the spreaders, just like spreader lights. This gives a soft moon glow like light to the deck for walking around and coming back to the boat at night. What little light gets into the cabin hasn't been a problem. They have also doubled as spreader lights when I didn't want to over light the deck. What attracted me to these was that the entire lens was clear. Most of the LED lights have a black or white spot that would have kept the deck darker.
