you had the board up. When we fly the Asym, I will generally have out CB down, maybe 2/3's of the way, for that reason, to keep us from rounding up ... especially if we are sailing higher. I guess if you're DDW, the Board could be up, but who wants to go DDW ? I rarely have the Main up when flying he Asym. About the only reason I will fly the Main is if I think the wind will get strong, + 15, and I will have troubles dousing the sock over the sail. If the wind is 14 or less, I won't have the Main up. But I'm not in any hurry either. cheers, John
PS ... I disagree with winching in the ATN downhaul control line ... that sounds like a bad idea. If you can't pull that sock down by using a snatch block at the rail or mast, or by blowing the tack if need be with the wind higher than you'd like, and I'm assuming if the wind is up then so is the Main to blanket the Asym, then something is wrong.
