hopefully for only the next year. Can't afford to keep it in the water now, and it's free to keep it next to our house of course, and we need to do some work that can only be done with the boat out of the water (remove rudder to solve friction problem somewhere on the rudder shaft).
Hopefully not the beginning of Compulsive Boat Project Disorder too --been there, done that But there are some interior things on the boat that need to be done too, and it'll be easy to do them with the boat next to the house. (And I won't have to climb the mast to do rig work anymore...)
I'm training myself to focus on the kitchen and a roof deck that is leaking and needs repair...then the attention, and budget switches to the boat --getting its key projects done and back in the water by next summer, with the aim of moving aboard in the next 3 years and going offshore, south. It all seems rather far away, to plan that far in advance...so, better get the kitchen done first!
