we were there once, the local cruisers call it the secret spot. Not much going on in there though, a long dinghy ride to the Yacht Club for a rum drink. But sounds like you found my favorite Exumas place to ride out a Front, N. Gaulin. Perfect don't you think, the current's not bad, water stays flat. We rode one nasty one out therein January, tough to beat, we always go here fro Fronts. You get two choices or routes to the Yacht Club, and if it's really nasty, the guys on the Island Shuttle will drop you off. Sweet little little beach you can see at the north end of Big Majors. And if you want to go back to BM anchorage when the wind comes around and builds from the NE, that little cut between BM and Fowl is a breeze to go through, just do it at slack tide and follow the dark water right along the NE iron shore of BM. You won't need two anchors, I saw a boat do that once there, it took them hours to retrieve them, then the sun was in their eyes when they tried to go back through the little Cut and went aground, with significant damage, it was a power boat and they hammered both screws. I heard there are 250 boats in GT, not as much as normal for Regatta, that's a bit social for you Jon, don't you tink mon ? See you in a couple weeks, we're coming back end of March ... cheers, John What's the name of you charming boat anyway ?
