I wished the reviews had a bit more detail.

Has anyone tried any of the ship tracking apps? The reviews say that they work in only some geographic areas. So far, I haven't been able to tell which ones work in the Pacific Northwest. Since they require web access, they'd be of limited usefulness. Besides, position updates are not necessarily real time. Still, for a few bucks, I'd buy one to play with.

As I mentioned elsewhere, I have been happy with the Navionics iPhone chart apps I own (BC. Canada, Caribbean, US West, US East, and Mediterranean)
