    • Never? If the chain comes through to the top it's OK
    • Here in Onset, only the chain-through-the-ball is allowed.
      • Yeah, and if you attach to the swivel below the ball
  • What actually happened to that hardware ?
    • Yes thread so corroded that the pin just slipped out
      • I don't think you can blame the wire ties here.
        • It looks as though that shackle has lost a third of it's section where it met the swivel, due to wear.
