Could be just the UV cover...

() Mine looks very similar right now. I find that the UV cover lasts only about half the life of the sail. If they used white Sunbrella it will not even last that long.
Where is the marina?

- A loosely furled sail and a good blow can produce that result...
- Furling jibs ALWAYS start to unravel above the clew...
