I had mine on an old "Avon Red Start" inflatable
In Response To: Tank... ()

with a bracket that you would hook onto the back. With two adults and a kid it had to be inflated rock hard to keep the engine out of the water. It got dunked so many times I lost count. It got rolled around in the surf once as well. When that happened I took it back out to the boat and tied it to the main halyard up side down, pulled the carburetor off and the plug out and just dunked it up and down for about 5 minutes to get the sand out of everything. I re-assembled it and fired it right up. Damndest thing you ever saw. Now, if they just would make an 8 HP that would plane my wife and I we would get one in second! Except for the oil consumption, you can't beat them. Mine was 25 to 1 as I remember???
